Verification review checklist

What to look for before approving an organisation — and why the badge matters more than it looks.

What the badge actually claims

A verified badge appears on every rate that organisation files. It is the business vouching for them to shippers who have no other way to judge. That is why ops may work the queue and read it, but the approve, reject and revoke decisions are super-admin.

The checklist

  1. Does the company exist? A registration number or licence that resolves, matching the name on the account.
  2. Does the domain match? A freight forwarder applying from a free email address is not disqualifying, but it is worth a question.
  3. Do the documents match each other? Name, address and number consistent across what they sent. Mismatches are usually sloppiness, occasionally not.
  4. Have they applied before? The attempt count is on the record. A third attempt after two rejections deserves a read of why it was rejected.

Rejecting

A rejection needs a reason and a note — the form enforces both, and choosing "Other" without writing anything is refused. Write the note for the applicant, not for us: "the registration number did not match the company name" is actionable, "insufficient documentation" is not.
